With President Obama’s stimulus packages come, hopefully, opportunities for businesses to work, pull themselves out of the red, employ the unemployed, and stimulate the economy. Right?
So you want some of that government pie? Become a federal contractor. Go to
http://www.business.gov/expand/government-contracting/ for information on becoming qualified to do business with the federal government.
This link will provide you an online tutorial with information on how a small business can do business with the federal government. (Alternate title: We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Haliburton!)

The registration process is simple; a few questions about you is all that’s needed to access this tutorial.
States, with their own stimulus packages, are improving roads, bridges, and their economies all over the country. If you are interested in becoming a contractor for the state, go to your state’s website and search for information on doing business with it. Look for links to their stimulus programs and trade links. There may be something for you.
